In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
